Robin Holder (Managing Director)
Robin has 29 years experience working in the public and private sectors. He is an adviser to Homes for Scotland and the Scottish Property Federation. At national level he has contributed to the formulation of Scottish planning policy and legislation.
He is a recognised expert in planning for major housing and retail developments, including land use strategies, supply and demand assessments, masterplanning and infrastructure requirements.
He has achieved substantial success in securing planning permissions and development plan allocations
Lesley McGrath (Director)
Lesley has 15 years experience of planning and development across a broad range of sectors. She is qualified as both a town planner and a surveyor, and has particular experience of managing housing, retail, heritage & listed buildings, energy and leisure projects through the planning process. In recent years she has had a major role in key projects for clients such as Forth Ports, Scottish & Southern Energy and Sainsbury's.
James Wall (Planner)
James joined Holder Planning in 2018 following over 2 years working in planning policy at Durham County Council. There he assisted with the development of the Council’s Local Development Plan playing an important role in the assessment of housing sites and policy development. He holds Master’s degrees in both Sustainable Development and Town Planning from St. Andrews University and Newcastle University respectively.
Since joining Holder Planning James has gained experience in a variety of work areas including the preparation and submission of major planning applications and appeals, organising and attending public consultation events and submitting planning representations. He project manages large scale development projects and has recently prepared a housing supply and demand assessment of the Aberdeen & Shire Strategic Development Plan.
